The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes AFC Ajax got a freekick which was hit by Omiros Fasoulas. A collision led to AFC Ajax getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. German Sarracino hit a great ball. In the 17th minute Teofil Gorzkiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akis Sarafis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michelangelo Merganiotis got free with Ferdinand Joldea in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Akis Sarafis came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s Teofil Gorzkiewicz. But to his dismay, Teofil Gorzkiewicz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ferdinand Joldea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markos Seremetidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Teofil Gorzkiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akis Sarafis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Teofil Gorzkiewicz notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of AFC Ajax's Akis Sarafis. Akis Sarafis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 33 minutes into the match, TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Ferdinand Joldea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stavros Tsebelis. If Guilherme Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Teofil Gorzkiewicz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Mel Speerschneider in the 43rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by AFC Ajax's Thomas Kallergis. Teofil Gorzkiewicz struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Akis Sarafis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TIMETER EC -DMZ-. After a rather tough play, AFC Ajax's Thomas Kallergis got a free kick in the 47th minute. Thomas Kallergis kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bob Marley to make the kick off. 60 minutes into the match, Bob Marley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferdinand Joldea. TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bob Marley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. TIMETER EC -DMZ- made a substitution. Rivaldo Brasil replaced Guilherme Félix. TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s Diogo Faria was substituted for Teofil Gorzkiewicz. TIMETER EC -DMZ- made a substitution. Waldemar Polek replaced Roger Freire. Juan Pablo Teran made a great header on TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s corner, it was just that AFC Ajax's Akis Sarafis managed to reach the ball for a save. Wanderson Lira kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s Ferdinand Joldea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Marley in the 77th minute of play. AFC Ajax's Akis Sarafis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Faria in the 78th minute of play. Wanderson Lira kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Ferdinand Joldea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Marley in the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st match minute, TIMETER EC -DMZ- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. Ferdinand Joldea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob Marley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bob Marley in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ferdinand Joldea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Lakis Tsopakis fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFC Ajax's protests and gave Lakis Tsopakis a yellow card for diving instead. Lakis Tsopakis kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. 97 minutes into the match, AFC Ajax's goal looked a bit too open when Diogo Faria came free, but Akis Sarafis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neither AFC Ajax or TIMETER EC -DMZ- succeeded in finding a winner during the second half. That meant the players faced another 30 minutes of extra-time.

With new strength the players walked out on the field for the first half of overtime. Diogo Faria in TIMETER EC -DMZ- was the one to initiate the kick off. In the 102nd minute, Bob Marley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When AFC Ajax's Bob Marley in the 106th minute got a chance for a shot 106th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 110th minute of the match, Michelangelo Merganiotis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ferdinand Joldea was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Bob Marley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 113th minute of the match, but Ferdinand Joldea made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bob Marley in the 115th minute of play forced TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Ferdinand Joldea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee signaled the end of the first half of extra-time the score was 2-2. The players had a chance to rest for a moment before the second half.

The players still looked rather fresh even though it was time for second half of the overtime. Bob Marley did a quick kick off. After having played for 125 minutes, Rivaldo Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Rivaldo Brasil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s Ferdinand Joldea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Marley in the 132nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wanderson Lira during the 133rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s Wanderson Lira got a free kick in the 133rd minute. Defensive play by both the teams in the second half of extra-time meant the match finished 2-2. The game would now be decided on penalties.

Ferdinand Joldea had in the 139thth minute some difficulties stopping Bob Marley's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The referee gave TIMETER EC -DMZ- a penalty, 143 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mel Speerschneider, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of AFC Ajax's Akis Sarafis. 3-4. In the 146th minute there was a penalty for TIMETER EC -DMZ-. Joaquim Tande stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Akis Sarafis. 4-5. Ferdinand Joldea had in the 147thth minute some difficulties stopping Miltos Margaritidis's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched TIMETER EC -DMZ- eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
