The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabien Canu got free with Rene Vereijt in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cedric Van Langhendoncx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jedrzej Kiszkiel in the 30th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Lunar Park defense, Abdulla Baia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cedric Van Langhendoncx. The Lunar Park fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cedric Van Langhendoncx should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdulla Baia in the 38th minute of play forced Lunar Park's goalkeeper Cedric Van Langhendoncx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 41 played minutes Lunar Park got a freekick which was hit by Yazid Larnicol. Cedric Van Langhendoncx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdulla Baia, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After 45 minutes, Yazid Larnicol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lunar Park and the FC Ouagadougou National players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jedrzej Kiszkiel came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cedric Van Langhendoncx could save by the left post. Cedric Van Langhendoncx made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jedrzej Kiszkiel in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute of the match, Abdulla Baia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cedric Van Langhendoncx saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 66 minutes into the game, Fabien Canu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Thanks to some nice moves Jedrzej Kiszkiel could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Cedric Van Langhendoncx however easily saved by the left post. Lunar Park's Cedric Van Langhendoncx proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Lunar Park from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Cedric Van Langhendoncx successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cedric Van Langhendoncx stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abdulla Baia's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Cedric Van Langhendoncx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdulla Baia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Carlos Taillade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Ouagadougou National's Dani Rojas was substituted for Jedrzej Kiszkiel. The supporters of FC Ouagadougou National booed when Lunar Park was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Taillade didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Abdulla Baia fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cedric Van Langhendoncx, passed just outside the right post.
