The supporters of Lima Team booed when Karaboudjan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felippe Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karaboudjan's Marcelinho Abraão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Karaboudjan from getting a goal against them. In the 5th minute Herberto Caiado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Karaboudjan's Marcelinho Abraão got control of the ball when Jacob Barroso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jacob Barroso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Marcelinho Abraão when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herberto Caiado in the 9th minute of play forced Karaboudjan's goalkeeper Marcelinho Abraão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacob Barroso charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacob Barroso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jacob Barroso hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Karaboudjan's Marcelinho Abraão got control of the ball when Anselmo Domingos tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lima Team's Jacob Barroso got a free kick in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Albuquerque in the 46th minute of play forced Lima Team's goalkeeper Francisco Infante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernandinho Albuquerque to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 59th match minute, Lima Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. Marcelinho Abraão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herberto Caiado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelinho Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Palmeira in the 72nd minute of play. Marcelinho Abraão was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lima Team were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
