Francisco Infante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandinho Albuquerque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the match, Lima Team's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Teixeira came free, but Francisco Infante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lima Team's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Felippe Monteiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Karaboudjan's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Karaboudjan's corner Felippe Monteiro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Francisco Infante quite easily take care of the ball. Marcelinho Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Vargas in the 19th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Renato Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 37 played minutes Karaboudjan got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Galvão. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Karaboudjan! Herberto Caiado placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aírton Oliveira to make the kick off. Aírton Oliveira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Francisco Infante made a huge save. In the 56th minute of the match Karaboudjan got a corner. Lima Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felippe Monteiro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aírton Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute Herberto Caiado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernandinho Albuquerque kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Herberto Caiado was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 72nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Marcelinho Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herberto Caiado, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Karaboudjan's Aírton Oliveira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. In the 90th minute Carlos Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herberto Caiado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Marcelinho Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Karaboudjan eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
