Roy Makaay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Rubén Urruti made a huge save. After 10 played minutes Auriolam II C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Gimenez. Auriolam II C.F.'s Rubén Urruti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Makaay in the 11th minute of play. Isidoro Gimenez made in the 13th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Villaverde Celeste Clube's Dino Manfredi. After 13 minutes, Dino Manfredi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villaverde Celeste Clube and the Auriolam II C.F. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Villaverde Celeste Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Manfredi to maneuver through the defense. Rubén Urruti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kıraç Uskan in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Roy Makaay notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Auriolam II C.F.'s Rubén Urruti. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nenko Reza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Godoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. If Kıraç Uskan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Auriolam II C.F.'s zone, Roy Makaay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubén Urruti came out of the goal and Roy Makaay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rubén Urruti made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Kıraç Uskan sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Godoy to make the kick off. Isidoro Gimenez's late challenge caught a Villaverde Celeste Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isidoro Gimenez helped the player get up and apologised. Isidoro Gimenez kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Miguel Godoy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nenko Reza was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Sven-Erik Söderberg kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Roy Makaay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rubén Urruti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kıraç Uskan in the 66th minute of the match. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Nenko Reza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Villaverde Celeste Clube from getting a goal against them. Roy Makaay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rubén Urruti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roy Makaay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
