Joonatan Schols made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olavs Eliass in the 3rd minute. Genaro Ponciano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timmy Siggman in the 7th minute of play. Genaro Ponciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timmy Siggman in the 9th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Timmy Siggman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Genaro Ponciano. FC Iecēni's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Timmy Siggman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Joonatan Schols took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marek Hamšík, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Genaro Ponciano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timmy Siggman's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. The throw-in from Gints Lielgalvis in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Internacional Pechofrío's John Joneschat. Olavs Eliass could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Joonatan Schols made a huge save. In the 27thth minute of the game Timmy Siggman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Iecēni's Genaro Ponciano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 34 minutes into the match, FC Iecēni's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Portochao came free, but Genaro Ponciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genaro Ponciano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timmy Siggman's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. FC Iecēni's Genaro Ponciano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timmy Siggman in the 40th minute of play. Tekin Ongay kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. A collision led to FC Iecēni getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Viktors Behmans hit a great ball. In the 48th minute of the match Internacional Pechofrío got a corner. FC Iecēni's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ernesto Báez ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Enzo Portochao almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Iecēni's Genaro Ponciano did a great save.

After 52 played minutes Internacional Pechofrío got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Etxahun. Joonatan Schols made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olavs Eliass in the 53rd minute of play. Genaro Ponciano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timmy Siggman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gints Lielgalvis fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Iecēni's protests and gave Gints Lielgalvis a yellow card for diving instead. Gints Lielgalvis kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. FC Iecēni's Osvalds Borskis was substituted for Olafs Buncis. In the 57th minute, Gints Lielgalvis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Internacional Pechofrío's Timmy Siggman in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Iecēni's goalie prevented a goal. After 63 minutes FC Iecēni's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. The FC Iecēni fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Genaro Ponciano should have stopped the shot. Internacional Pechofrío's Sarracino Davagnino was substituted for Lando Cueva. In the 88th minute Viktors Behmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joonatan Schols saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Genaro Ponciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Su Qian Cheng in the 89th minute of the match. Olavs Eliass's late challenge caught a Internacional Pechofrío's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olavs Eliass helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of FC Iecēni:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Internacional Pechofrío:s goal. Internacional Pechofrío's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sarracino Davagnino in the 93rd minute. Joonatan Schols made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olavs Eliass in the 98th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Internacional Pechofrío eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
