The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Palacio in the 4th minute of play forced Tapa Athlétic™'s goalkeeper Heigo Mustkivi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute Silvestre Cisco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heigo Mustkivi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Frontera AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mugurel Chiriloaie came free, but Agustín Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tapa Athlétic™'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Frontera AFC the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gheorghiţă Hagi got free with Agustín Rossi in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silvestre Cisco made a kick off. If Naohiro Takahara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. Frontera AFC's Agustín Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugurel Chiriloaie in the 59th minute of play. After some careless play in the Frontera AFC defense, Kalju Palk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Agustín Rossi. The Frontera AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Agustín Rossi should have stopped the shot. Mugurel Chiriloaie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kalju Palk in the 78th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Rodrigo Palacio made a precise shot to the right of Heigo Mustkivi. Tapa Athlétic™'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Frontera AFC's Agustín Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kalju Palk in the 90th minute of play. A collision led to Tapa Athlétic™ getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Madis Indrekson hit a great ball. In the 94th minute of the match Naohiro Takahara sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Heigo Mustkivi skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tapa Athlétic™ had won after a very even match.
