Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) SC Atabueira's Josué Campelo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Flavinho Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Idalécio Carrasqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 played minutes SC Atabueira got a freekick which was hit by Belchior Ribeiro. Flavinho Dionísio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Idalécio Carrasqueira having to interfere. Vila Aurora FC's Chicão Leal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Vila Aurora FC from getting a goal against them. In the 28th minute Flavinho Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Idalécio Carrasqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Idalécio Carrasqueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvinho de Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Belchior Ribeiro in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chicão Leal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34thth minute of the game Flavinho Dionísio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Atabueira's Idalécio Carrasqueira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 42 played minutes Vila Aurora FC got a freekick which was hit by Durvalino Guerra. Belchior Ribeiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Chicão Leal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Flavinho Dionísio was the one to do the kick off. Vila Aurora FC's Chicão Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belchior Ribeiro in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Breno Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute, Belchior Ribeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chicão Leal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belchior Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute Flavinho Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Idalécio Carrasqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to SC Atabueira getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Hugon Bryk hit a great ball. Silvinho de Senna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Idalécio Carrasqueira made a huge save. Naldo Antunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Idalécio Carrasqueira made a huge save. 68 minutes into the match, Vila Aurora FC's goal looked a bit too open when Odín Wallffiguer came free, but Chicão Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute of the match SC Atabueira got a corner. Vila Aurora FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hugon Bryk ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Hugon Bryk almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vila Aurora FC's Chicão Leal did a great save. SC Atabueira's Idalécio Carrasqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adilson Tepedino in the 71st minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Atabueira's Belchior Ribeiro got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaime Eiró during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 76 played minutes SC Atabueira got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Eiró. With a little luck, SC Atabueira's Idalécio Carrasqueira got control of the ball when Silvinho de Senna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chicão Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Quintas in the 80th minute of the match. A collision led to Vila Aurora FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Adilson Tepedino hit a great ball. SC Atabueira's Idalécio Carrasqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adilson Tepedino in the 87th minute of play. After 88 played minutes SC Atabueira got a freekick which was hit by Anton Manta. 94 minutes into the match, Fidel Domenec had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chicão Leal. Vila Aurora FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fidel Domenec was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. SC Atabueira's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
