KS Olimpia Warszawa's Gigel Botescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tamer Özgu in the 15th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Damazy Joks lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Lemi Uğurlubey. Gigel Botescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erhan Ascı, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute.
