Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Barth Gorham got the match started through his kick off. After 3 played minutes Wellington Phoenix got a freekick which was hit by Stephan Smee. Barth Gorham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yavuz Akyıldız having to interfere. Barth Gorham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yavuz Akyıldız had great luck who in the 15thth minute grab hold of the ball when Barth Gorham from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Jones Byrnes came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Akyazi's İdris Ulu. But to his dismay, İdris Ulu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 23 minutes into the match, Akyazi's goal looked a bit too open when Barth Gorham came free, but Yavuz Akyıldız reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yavuz Akyıldız showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernest Rishton in the 24th minute of the match. Wellington Phoenix's Nathaniel Worsley was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Yavuz Akyıldız in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 26 played minutes Wellington Phoenix got a freekick which was hit by Stephan Smee. İdris Ulu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jones Byrnes having to interfere. Yavuz Akyıldız showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barth Gorham, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When Enes Yazıcı fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Akyazi's protests and gave Enes Yazıcı a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th minute, Enes Yazıcı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barth Gorham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Yavuz Akyıldız tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Batur Sezgi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Barth Gorham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barth Gorham struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Yavuz Akyıldız didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wellington Phoenix. After 59 minutes, İlker Ogün mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Akyazi and the Wellington Phoenix players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Akyazi getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. İlker Ogün hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Barth Gorham put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Yavuz Akyıldız. Batur Sezgi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Bryan Hoskin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yavuz Akyıldız. Akyazi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bryan Hoskin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After a rather tough play, Wellington Phoenix's Ernest Rishton got a free kick in the 73rd minute. With a little luck, Wellington Phoenix's Jones Byrnes got control of the ball when İdris Ulu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Akyazi's zone, Barth Gorham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yavuz Akyıldız came out of the goal and Barth Gorham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yavuz Akyıldız made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barth Gorham in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Batur Sezgi in the 82nd minute of play forced Wellington Phoenix's goalkeeper Jones Byrnes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Barth Gorham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wellington Phoenix's supporters rose to their feet, but Barth Gorham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yavuz Akyıldız breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Barth Gorham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Barth Gorham made a precise shot to the right of Yavuz Akyıldız. Akyazi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Batur Sezgi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jones Byrnes. That made the score 3-2 in the 91 minute of play.
