Ziemowit Klocko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. El Retorno de Palermo's Osvaldo Tiniebra got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amancio Urtats made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sylwester Terasek in the 19th minute. Isidoro Shepherd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ziemowit Klocko having to interfere.

The wind increased when Sylwester Terasek made the kick off in the second half. Amancio Urtats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogumil Grocholski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 60 played minutes El Retorno de Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Anaya. Tytus Wolnik charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tytus Wolnik the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to El Retorno de Palermo getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Fernando Paublo hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the game, Sylwester Terasek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Amancio Urtats was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Isidoro Shepherd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Ziemowit Klocko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. El Retorno de Palermo's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Tiniebra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ziemowit Klocko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ludomil Boruta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amancio Urtats having to interfere. In the 94th minute Osvaldo Tiniebra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ziemowit Klocko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Retorno de Palermo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Tiniebra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
