In the 20th minute Tomasz Frenzel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grzegorz Siekierski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute Medero Gadea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marioara Matei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marioara Matei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Medero Gadea, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Medero Gadea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marioara Matei having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Eric Esposito left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The O D M I E Ń C Y ™ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The supporters of GeRaÇãO-83 booed when O D M I E Ń C Y ™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Cannavaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eric Esposito hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Marioara Matei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brian Ocampo in the 34th minute of play. After 47 played minutes O D M I E Ń C Y ™ got a freekick which was hit by Stanislaw Maziarski. 48 minutes into the match, O D M I E Ń C Y ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Brian Ocampo came free, but Marioara Matei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edin Džeko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Brian Ocampo came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marioara Matei could save by the left post. The coaching staff of O D M I E Ń C Y ™ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ulrik Sjöberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. O D M I E Ń C Y ™:s Marioara Matei showed great skill when he stopped Mario Cristofor:s penalty. O D M I E Ń C Y ™'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
