In the 17th minute João Vítor Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Figueiras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 minutes, Putte von der Putten mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DALO S.C. and the Countdown FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes DALO S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Mora Liebana. Rui Figueiras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington Demartis in the 34th minute of play. After some careless play in the Countdown FC defense, Loco Alves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Er Miner. The Countdown FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Er Miner should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Countdown FC's Er Miner got control of the ball when Mora Liebana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Er Miner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Putte von der Putten, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute, German Fias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rui Figueiras didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adriano Cardozo went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 52nd match minute, DALO S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mora Liebana to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, DALO S.C.'s José-Manuel Bacardi got a free kick in the 55th minute. Rui Figueiras made an important save on a dangerous shot by Washington Demartis in the 58th minute. Rui Figueiras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Vítor Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Rui Figueiras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Cardozo in the 63rd minute of the match. Adriano Cardozo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rui Figueiras came out and tried to block the shot, but Adriano Cardozo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 64th minute. Adriano Cardozo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 69th playminute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mora Liebana in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Er Miner saved Countdown FC from getting behind. Er Miner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Putte von der Putten, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. João Vítor Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Rui Figueiras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Er Miner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mora Liebana's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Countdown FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mora Liebana came free, but Er Miner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Adriano Cardozo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rui Figueiras. The goal made the score 1-4. In the 91st match minute, Countdown FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dida Carioca to maneuver through the defense. Er Miner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mora Liebana in the 92nd minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, DALO S.C.'s goalkeeper Rui Figueiras had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Washington Demartis. Peter Aceituno was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 96 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in DALO S.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! DALO S.C.:s Rui Figueiras showed great skill when he stopped Dida Carioca:s penalty. After some careless play in the DALO S.C. defense, João Vítor Barros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rui Figueiras. The DALO S.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rui Figueiras should have stopped the shot. Countdown FC played a much better game than DALO S.C. and deserved their victory. The DALO S.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
