Yateley United's Sidney Corcoran got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute Ritchie Dalton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Gentza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaspar Ignatius hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Ritchie Dalton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gerardo Gentza was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Gerardo Gentza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kirk Gobey in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Justo Otsoko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anibal Estevon in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reggie Worth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the match, Espín AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ritchie Dalton came free, but Gerardo Gentza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Des Hopker kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Carlos Telo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Espín AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Denzil Langsford came free, but Gerardo Gentza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jay Noble kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Gerardo Gentza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kirk Gobey in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ritchie Dalton in the 40th minute of play forced Espín AFC's goalkeeper Gerardo Gentza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Friebe's late challenge caught a Espín AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wilfredo Cordarin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anibal Estevon struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Reggie Worth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espín AFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anibal Estevon in the 64th minute of play forced Yateley United's goalkeeper Reggie Worth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Espín AFC defense, Jake Bodsworth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerardo Gentza. The Espín AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerardo Gentza should have stopped the shot. 70 minutes into the match, Espín AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Friebe came free, but Gerardo Gentza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 1-2 became the score in the 71st minute when Jake Bodsworth elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Yateley United booed when Espín AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Cisco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anibal Estevon charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anibal Estevon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Espín AFC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Anibal Estevon hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Yateley United walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
