Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Peker Kazak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, René Stam successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 59 minutes into the match, Kraig Fred notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Las Palmas's René Stam. René Stam was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Estudiantes de América's Traian Blăniță was substituted for Cornelio Ruisko. Estudiantes de América made a substitution. Concetto Trasatti replaced Fran Tudor. With a little luck, Las Palmas's René Stam got control of the ball when Orlando Beltza tried to sneak it across the goal line. But to his dismay, Concetto Trasatti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Ariel Nalo kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. If Traian Blăniță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Estudiantes de América's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
