After 4 minutes of play, ADM Taquaras's Denílson Tepedino made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 33rd minute Tato Vega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Que se abra o mar's Sandro Tepedino got control of the ball when Denílson Tepedino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Albertinho Andrade's late challenge caught a ADM Taquaras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albertinho Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. After 47 played minutes Que se abra o mar got a freekick which was hit by Albertinho Andrade. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Åhman in the 90th minute of play forced Que se abra o mar's goalkeeper Sandro Tepedino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
