The referee ignored Novokuznetsk's protests and gave Grigoriy Stepanenko a yellow card for diving instead. Grigoriy Stepanenko kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Atlético Villa Gesell's Antonis Anastasiadis threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cornelio Ixidor, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Atlético Villa Gesell's Denis Calvino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feoktist Golov in the 4th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Novokuznetsk's Eremey Pastuhov got a free kick in the 5th minute. After having played for 7 minutes, Eriberto Aztore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Villa Gesell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eriberto Aztore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dario Bingen got free with Antonis Anastasiadis in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antonis Anastasiadis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Pietro, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Feoktist Golov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Denis Calvino having to make a save. When Novokuznetsk's Feoktist Golov in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atlético Villa Gesell's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dario Bingen got free with Antonis Anastasiadis in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Novokuznetsk's Feoktist Golov got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Denis Calvino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feoktist Golov in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to Atlético Villa Gesell getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Paolo Aguirre hit a great ball. In the 31st minute Cornelio Ixidor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonis Anastasiadis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denis Calvino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feoktist Golov in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Novokuznetsk's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Pietro came free, but Antonis Anastasiadis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Novokuznetsk's goalkeeper Antonis Anastasiadis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dario Bingen. Antonis Anastasiadis made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Dario Bingen sent off a good shot on target. Atlético Villa Gesell's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eriberto Aztore in the 38th minute. Novokuznetsk's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Cornelio Ixidor scored to the left of an out of position Antonis Anastasiadis, making the score, 1-0. After 44 minutes Atlético Villa Gesell's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eremey Pastuhov who took care of the corner kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dario Bingen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Atlético Villa Gesell's Denis Calvino got control of the ball when Silantiy Astankov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silantiy Astankov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Denis Calvino made a huge save. Antonis Anastasiadis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Bingen, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Feoktist Golov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonis Anastasiadis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Pietro in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Pietro in the 64th minute of play forced Novokuznetsk's goalkeeper Antonis Anastasiadis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atlético Villa Gesell's Denis Calvino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Villa Gesell from getting a goal against them. In the 70th minute, Fabian Pietro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Villa Gesell fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Novokuznetsk made a substitution. Igor Dudko replaced Veniamin Elyutin. Cornelio Ixidor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Cornelio Ixidor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonis Anastasiadis was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Andrey Borzenkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Denis Calvino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute Paulo Rudolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonis Anastasiadis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Pietro charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabian Pietro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Atlético Villa Gesell getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Fabian Pietro hit a great ball. In the 94th minute, Feoktist Golov fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Denis Calvino, passed just outside the right post. Denis Calvino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feoktist Golov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denis Calvino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feoktist Golov in the 96th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Novokuznetsk players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Atlético Villa Gesell.
