With a little luck, AFC FUSION's Roberto Eztebe got control of the ball when Ramzi Drouart tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18th minute Kai Havertz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Söderström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Haithabu FC's goalie and right to Romulo Abilio. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Haithabu FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lino Rios in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabian Söderström saved Haithabu FC from getting behind. 30 minutes into the match, Haithabu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kai Havertz came free, but Fabian Söderström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto Torres got free with Roberto Eztebe in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roberto Eztebe made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Ramzi Drouart sent off a good shot on target. Lino Rios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Fabian Söderström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Haithabu FC's Roberto Eztebe threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ramzi Drouart, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 48th minute, Dawid Beckham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramzi Drouart stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dawid Beckham's late challenge caught a Haithabu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roberto Eztebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 57 minutes into the match, Jacinto Torres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roberto Eztebe. AFC FUSION's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacinto Torres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. AFC FUSION's Guido Txindoki was substituted for Kai Havertz. Adrian Astigar hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After 63 played minutes AFC FUSION got a freekick which was hit by Dawid Beckham. In the 64th minute of the match Visar De Hond sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roberto Eztebe skillfully saved the ball. After 71 minutes of play, Haithabu FC's Jacinto Torres made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roberto Eztebe was left in no man's land by his defense there! Haithabu FC's Conrad Vrolijcx was substituted for Kurt Slaghmeulders. 76 minutes into the game, Lino Rios recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabian Söderström. Lino Rios showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Roberto Eztebe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramzi Drouart in the 80th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Visar De Hond hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute of the match AFC FUSION got a corner. Haithabu FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jan Hop ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Haithabu FC's goalie and right to Thiago Silva. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Jan Hop recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roberto Eztebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauri Icardi in the 93rd minute of the match. Guido Txindoki's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fabian Söderström firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervasio Albonico in the 96th minute of play forced AFC FUSION's goalkeeper Roberto Eztebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Haithabu FC had won after a very even match.
