Hélio O'Connell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristide Ciuvică, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. México Eterno MZC's Jailson Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ettore Santo in the 24th minute of play. In the 65th minute Ettore Santo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jailson Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Maritek FC's zone, Diego Ribas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hélio O'Connell came out of the goal and Diego Ribas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. México Eterno MZC made a substitution. Basílio Ferraz replaced Dieter Gamache. Jailson Aparecido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ettore Santo in the 72nd minute of the match.
