With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicolás Villamil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nicolás Villamil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldão Jaafari, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Chico Ortega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Michel Neuer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But to his dismay, He Xiao Ao quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mario Flores to strike the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes of play, Borussia Dortmund MZB's He Xiao Ao made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Borussia Dortmund MZB's Pedrão de Sousa was substituted for Ronaldão Jaafari. After a defensive mix-up in CSD Concepción's zone, Liu Zhi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. A sloppy throw-in by Wictor Carlsson in the 79th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by CSD Concepción's Cristofer Tejada. 79 minutes into the game, Ye Feng Feng threw the ball into play from the sideline. CSD Concepción's Victoriano Sierra quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 82nd minute Mario Flores shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Neuer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
