Marian Lewkowicz's late challenge caught a Lokomotiv Plovdiv's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marian Lewkowicz helped the player get up and apologised. Ulryk Tomporowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven Brask in the 14th minute of play. Zdzislaw Obuchowicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Ulryk Tomporowski made a huge save. Ulryk Tomporowski made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Vasko Chochkov sent off a good shot on target. CF Pogi Club Olsztyn's Ulryk Tomporowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven Brask in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven Brask in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulryk Tomporowski saved CF Pogi Club Olsztyn from getting behind. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Lokomotiv Plovdiv:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CF Pogi Club Olsztyn:s goal. Lokomotiv Plovdiv:s Krasimir Mishovski showed great skill when he stopped Ren Bo Hong:s penalty. 43 minutes into the game, Ren Bo Hong cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Krasimir Mishovski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
