Doping Positivo's Carter Gargano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Regis in the 5th minute of play. Raimundo Aznaro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mauro Telmo's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Damaso Udalaitz heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Muno Olano hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. The supporters of Doping Positivo booed when Kalessin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauricio Abaurre didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damaso Udalaitz in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimundo Aznaro saved Kalessin from getting behind. After having played for 37 minutes, Damaso Udalaitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Doping Positivo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damaso Udalaitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Simon Romildo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Doping Positivo's Carter Gargano got control of the ball when Simon Romildo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 44 played minutes Doping Positivo got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Aznar. After the first half Doping Positivo were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Raimundo Aznaro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauro Telmo in the 54th minute. Simon Romildo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Carter Gargano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kalessin made a substitution. Han Sang Xing replaced Bram Bosman. Raimundo Aznaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Udalaitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. If Han Sang Xing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doping Positivo made a substitution. Roque Laurin replaced Damaso Udalaitz. Carter Gargano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Han Sang Xing, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Carter Gargano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Nicholas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The tension between the Doping Positivo and the Kalessin players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carter Gargano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Nicholas in the 89th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Kalessin's Han Sang Xing sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carter Gargano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner ended in Federico Terciero almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Doping Positivo's Carter Gargano did a great save. 93 minutes into the game, Han Sang Xing cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Carter Gargano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Doping Positivo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Doping Positivo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
