With an extended leg and a bit of luck Éder Mota prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Udo Gellrich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julián Dean, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Julián Dean kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Udo Gellrich. That made the score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. Javier Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute Willi Pförtner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Éder Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Xorxa F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Thorsten Wexler came free, but Éder Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After 50 played minutes Xorxa F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Francesco Camacho. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Thorsten Wexler took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Éder Mota to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Willi Pförtner in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Éder Mota saved Xorxa F.C. from getting behind. In the 63rd minute, Willi Pförtner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Éder Mota made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Willi Pförtner sent off a good shot on target. If Edbert Scherbaum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to SV Klingsmoos getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Willi Pförtner hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Abrego in the 79th minute of play forced SV Klingsmoos's goalkeeper Udo Gellrich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oswald Ellhof got free with Éder Mota in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Éder Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thorsten Wexler in the 86th minute of play. When Jesús Navas fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Xorxa F.C.'s protests and gave Jesús Navas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute Thorsten Wexler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Éder Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 90 minutes, Toni Freire mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Xorxa F.C. and the SV Klingsmoos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Willi Pförtner succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 91st playminute. In the 94th match minute, SV Klingsmoos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Pitta to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded SV Klingsmoos left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Xorxa F.C..
