Inácio Amaral started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, one of De Kasteelheren:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for De Kasteelheren. De Kasteelheren:s Bram Reinhard showed great skill when he stopped Xie Shu Tian:s penalty. In the 9th minute, Anthony Hillen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute of the match Pecém got a corner. De Kasteelheren's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ibon Obeso ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Juarês Borges managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Inácio Amaral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Denílson Leão made a huge save. In the 22nd minute, Arnaldo Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. De Kasteelheren's Ed Onderwater quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Juarês Borges, made in the 24th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Inácio Amaral sped through Pecém's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Denílson Leão. After 32 played minutes Pecém got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Andrade. Bram Reinhard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bram Reinhard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xie Shu Tian, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Inácio Amaral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Denílson Leão made a huge save. 44 minutes into the match, Pecém's goal looked a bit too open when Anatoliy Gvozdevych came free, but Denílson Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xie Shu Tian made a kick off. When Ibon Obeso fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pecém's protests and gave Ibon Obeso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 51st match minute, Pecém was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ibon Obeso to maneuver through the defense. 52 minutes into the match, Pecém's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Amaral came free, but Denílson Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inácio Amaral scored 2-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Denílson Leão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 58 minutes into the match, Pecém's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Amaral came free, but Denílson Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denílson Leão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Inácio Amaral's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute Ferdi Vorenkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denílson Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pecém were furious when Silverio Lop was red carded, 65 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pecém! Bram Reinhard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xie Shu Tian, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute, Harold Rodenboog left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The De Kasteelheren fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 94th minute, Ferdi Vorenkamp made a precise shot to the right of Denílson Leão. Pecém's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pecém players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for De Kasteelheren.
