Martín Ferreyra was slow to take the kick. During this time Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Hugo Benjamin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Łukasz Fabiański quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Marcelo Cordero came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Cordero couldn't finish the play. Łukasz Fabiański made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Cordero in the 16th minute of play. After some careless play in the Azulgranas defense, Marcelo Cordero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Łukasz Fabiański. The Azulgranas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Łukasz Fabiański should have stopped the shot. 20 minutes into the match, Marcelo Cordero notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Azulgranas's Łukasz Fabiański. Łukasz Fabiański was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sánchez Castruita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Dražen Ladić made a huge save. After 32 minutes of play, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Marcelo Cordero made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Łukasz Fabiański was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcelo Cordero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcelo Cordero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Łukasz Fabiański read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Dražen Ladić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Zust in the 41st minute of play. When Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Marcelo Cordero in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Azulgranas's goalie prevented a goal. Sánchez Castruita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Dražen Ladić made a huge save. The Azulgranas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sánchez Castruita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dražen Ladić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inocencio Tarresola, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. A collision led to Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Leonard Purcaru hit a great ball. The Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Marcelo Cordero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Azulgranas made a substitution. Ulises Terroba replaced Inocencio Tarresola. Azulgranas's Francisco Berrios was substituted for Marco Zust. Dražen Ladić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Berrios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Azulgranas's goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo Cordero. Dražen Ladić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victoriano Movilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute.
