When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Boleslaw Zielinski sped through Barrio Norte FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Valentin Ospetsu. In the 6th match minute, Lyons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andréas Stenkvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute, Yerko Son fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Luisito Quinten, passed just outside the right post. Valentin Ospetsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boleslaw Zielinski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute Boleslaw Zielinski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Ospetsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lyons's Andréas Stenkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valentin Ospetsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andréas Stenkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Lyons booed when Barrio Norte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Hugo Pinilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Lyons's goalkeeper Luisito Quinten had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldo Frutos. In the 17th minute, Roni De Pauw hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Andréas Stenkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentin Ospetsu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesar Remigio in the 31st minute of the match. After 34 played minutes Lyons got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Arbi. Valentin Ospetsu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andréas Stenkvist in the 40th minute of play.

Lyons's Stig Åkerberg was substituted for Boleslaw Zielinski. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Osvaldo Frutos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lyons's Luisito Quinten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Frutos in the 58th minute of play. Dariusz Roano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Valentin Ospetsu made a huge save. Dariusz Roano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Valentin Ospetsu came out and tried to block the shot, but Dariusz Roano slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 64th minute. Barrio Norte FC made a substitution. Hao Jian Yuan replaced Yerko Son. Valentin Ospetsu made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Dariusz Roano sent off a good shot on target. Luisito Quinten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hao Jian Yuan in the 73rd minute of play. Luisito Quinten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ofelio Galván, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. When Lyons's Dariusz Roano in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hao Jian Yuan in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisito Quinten saved Lyons from getting behind. Lyons's Luisito Quinten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ofelio Galván in the 96th minute of play. Lyons were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Barrio Norte FC to leave the ground with a draw.
