In the 7th minute, Ulf Öfverman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Panos Drambas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Lefteris Kaligeros charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lefteris Kaligeros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th minute, Lefteris Kaligeros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulf Öfverman in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Panos Drambas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ulf Öfverman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 18th match minute, ERGOTELIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lefteris Kaligeros to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's goalkeeper Alexandre Pires had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pavlos Kastanopoulos. 24 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Panos Drambas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Panos Drambas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Öfverman in the 31st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Rune Strömbom in the 33rd minute of play forced ERGOTELIS's goalkeeper Panos Drambas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Panos Drambas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind ERGOTELIS's goalkeeper Panos Drambas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by ERGOTELIS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Thiago van Dijk was slow to take the kick. During this time Brothers of Mercy's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Thiago van Dijk got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Panos Drambas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 42 minutes into the match, ERGOTELIS's goal looked a bit too open when Ulf Öfverman came free, but Panos Drambas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute Bengt-Rune Strömbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panos Drambas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

ERGOTELIS's Lakis Prasidis was substituted for Giorgos Terzakis. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulf Öfverman to make the kick off. Ulf Öfverman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Panos Drambas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Thiago van Dijk got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Panos Drambas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Leonardo Odeen kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Panos Drambas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giorgos Tsagaropoulos in the 60th minute of play forced Brothers of Mercy's goalkeeper Alexandre Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Theofilos Voutsas charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Theofilos Voutsas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Brothers of Mercy booed when ERGOTELIS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theofilos Voutsas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Panos Drambas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulf Öfverman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Panos Drambas managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 70 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Panos Drambas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 73 minutes, Ulf Öfverman made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. ERGOTELIS's Panos Drambas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Theofilos Voutsas kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Ulf Öfverman might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Panos Drambas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ulf Öfverman ran back to his position shaking his head. ERGOTELIS's Panos Drambas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save ERGOTELIS from getting a goal against them. 85 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's goal looked a bit too open when Alkaios Mavrofidis came free, but Alexandre Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 86 minutes in the game, Bengt-Rune Strömbom fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Panos Drambas having to interfere. Alexandre Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giorgos Tsagaropoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the game, Brothers of Mercy's Mats Elg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Panos Drambas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Brothers of Mercy's Bengt-Rune Strömbom got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexandre Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Menelaos Moutafis in the 96th minute of play. In the 98th match minute, Brothers of Mercy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Björk to maneuver through the defense.
