If Oliver Marsden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geoff Langdon in the 6th minute of play forced GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's goalkeeper Herbert Gomolka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 minutes of play, Whitypool United's Geoff Langdon made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Herbert Gomolka was left in no man's land by his defense there! Herbert Gomolka didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oliver Marsden went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's Herbert Gomolka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joe Stubbs in the 23rd minute of play. Geoff Langdon scored 0-4 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herbert Gomolka, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Herbert Gomolka stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oliver Marsden's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Herbert Gomolka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Marsden in the 28th minute of the match. A collision led to GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Janusz Kisielka hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Whitypool United's Rich Rushforth got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the game, Oliver Marsden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Whitypool United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ the free kick. Ryan Dickner was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 38 minutes into the match. After 38 played minutes Whitypool United got a freekick which was hit by Ryan Dickner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rich Rushforth in the 40th minute of play forced GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's goalkeeper Herbert Gomolka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Geoff Langdon notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's Herbert Gomolka. Herbert Gomolka was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joe Stubbs struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Herbert Gomolka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Whitypool United. In the 47th minute, Oliver Marsden ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Herbert Gomolka was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wit Kasperowicz to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Whitypool United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garth Webster to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliver Marsden in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herbert Gomolka saved GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ from getting behind. In the 57th minute Whitypool United were awarded a corner. Oscar Garnett went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Whitypool United's corner Oscar Garnett fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Herbert Gomolka quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliver Marsden in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herbert Gomolka saved GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ from getting behind. After 60 played minutes Whitypool United got a freekick which was hit by Jasper Craven. In the 61st minute Wasyl Mentus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bradley Braithwaite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bradley Braithwaite didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wasyl Mentus went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. Oliver Marsden received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Herbert Gomolka came out and tried to block the shot, but Oliver Marsden slotted it home off the left post making it 1-7 in the 68th minute. In the 74th minute, Oliver Marsden fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Herbert Gomolka, passed just outside the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Joe Stubbs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Whitypool United's supporters rose to their feet, but Joe Stubbs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herbert Gomolka breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 79 minutes into the match, GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Marsden came free, but Herbert Gomolka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Rich Rushforth came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Whitypool United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rich Rushforth couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Marsden in the 83rd minute of play forced GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's goalkeeper Herbert Gomolka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herbert Gomolka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Marsden in the 85th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Whitypool United's Joe Stubbs slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Herbert Gomolka. That made the score 1-8 after 87 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joe Stubbs got free with Herbert Gomolka in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Whitypool United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
