Mustafa İzzet Rasih could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Aloísio Pirani made a huge save. Zebus FC's Aloísio Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Asım Buğra in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flávio Dante in the 29th minute of play forced Rakı Sevenler FC's goalkeeper Egemen Gencalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aloísio Pirani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gökmen Başeğmez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 42 played minutes Zebus FC got a freekick which was hit by Baltazar Barral. After 44 played minutes Rakı Sevenler FC got a freekick which was hit by Selahaddin Uzel. In the 48th minute, Ali Asım Buğra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aloísio Pirani was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flávio Dante made a kick off. A collision led to Rakı Sevenler FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Selahaddin Uzel hit a great ball. The supporters of Rakı Sevenler FC booed when Zebus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Netto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute Ali Asım Buğra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aloísio Pirani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Zebus FC defense, Mustafa İzzet Rasih kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aloísio Pirani. The Zebus FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aloísio Pirani should have stopped the shot. Ali Asım Buğra scored 3-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aloísio Pirani, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rakı Sevenler FC had played much better football throughout.
