After 12 played minutes, Magallanes's Luis Johnson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Philip McNamara came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Magallanes reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Jacinto Herboso in the 14th minute of play forced Wyoming Cowboys's goalkeeper Philip McNamara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luis Aravena to make the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Philip McNamara successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With his leg Philip McNamara managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Magallanes's Hipolito Fritz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Hipolito Fritzs short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Philip McNamara to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 61st minute, Hipolito Fritz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hipolito Fritz in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Filipo Paut was slow to take the kick. During this time Magallanes's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Filipo Paut almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Wyoming Cowboys's Philip McNamara did a great save. Magallanes were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
