Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Slawomir Wojciechowski in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ryszard Lerych prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 25th minute Mateusz Damazki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xuacu Xuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ryszard Lerych prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Slawomir Wojciechowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ryszard Lerych having to make a save. Slawomir Wojciechowski struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Ryszard Lerych didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A. Slawomir Wojciechowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ryszard Lerych read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Hieronim Jaszcz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as POLONIA BYTOM's Mateusz Damazki slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Xuacu Xuan. That made the score 1-0 after 42 minutes of play. 45 minutes into the match, POLONIA BYTOM's goal looked a bit too open when Slawomir Wojciechowski came free, but Ryszard Lerych reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Slawomir Wojciechowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ryszard Lerych was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mateusz Damazki made a kick off. KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's Xuacu Xuan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartosz Kiepski in the 58th minute of play. Xuacu Xuan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateusz Damazki, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Slawomir Wojciechowski in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ryszard Lerych saved POLONIA BYTOM from getting behind. 72 minutes into the match, Slawomir Wojciechowski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ryszard Lerych, 1-1. Slawomir Wojciechowskis short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Ryszard Lerych to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Slawomir Wojciechowski struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Ryszard Lerych didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal.
