Cristian Baștină made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Erben Medgyesi sent off a good shot on target. Delphine Stars's Cristian Baștină proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Delphine Stars from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute of the match FFC Merainies 03 got a corner. Delphine Stars's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Youri Bemmel ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to FFC Merainies 03 getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Youri Bemmel hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, Delphine Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Erben Medgyesi came free, but Cristian Baștină reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Best Junel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Melinte in the 31st minute of play. Gert Korevaar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gert Korevaar in the 37th minute of play forced Delphine Stars's goalkeeper Cristian Baștină to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manole Bălășoiu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Best Junel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erben Medgyesi got free with Cristian Baștină in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erben Medgyesi in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristian Baștină prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 44th minute Gert Korevaar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Baștină saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emanuel Tiberiu to strike the kick off in the second half. Gert Korevaar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Delphine Stars booed when FFC Merainies 03 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Springelkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute of the match Marcel Cristache shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Best Junel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cristian Baștină showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael van Zeggeren, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. With 74 minutes on the clock, Nicodim Drăgan commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Delphine Stars fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave FFC Merainies 03 a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. When FFC Merainies 03's Rafael van Zeggeren in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Rafael van Zeggeren sped through Delphine Stars's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristian Baștină. In the 94th match minute, Delphine Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Nenciu to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FFC Merainies 03 booed when Delphine Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Cristache didn't get a good kick on the ball. FFC Merainies 03's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
