Leontin Ilieș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Randle Rutledge in the 54th minute of the match. The referee ignored Manly FC's protests and gave Mourad Rocchi a yellow card for diving instead. Sydney Ross made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Best Tek in the 92nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Manly FC defense, Best Tek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sydney Ross. The Manly FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sydney Ross should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ninjas in Pyjamas had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
