Spectators: 147 (Terracing: 111, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 2) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Anselmo Furlan kicked off to start the match. Perivaldo Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Karlstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute, Carlos Eduardo Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Perivaldo Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Kempes in the 6th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Torsten Jonsson made a precise shot to the right of Perivaldo Azevedo. Santos City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of Cosmopolitan FC booed when Santos City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidnei Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ian Ramalho fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos City's protests and gave Ian Ramalho a yellow card for diving instead. Ian Ramalho hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Nils-Erik Gustavsson struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Perivaldo Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cosmopolitan FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mário Kempes in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Perivaldo Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 21 played minutes Santos City got a freekick which was hit by Ian Ramalho. In the 24th minute, Torsten Jonsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Perivaldo Azevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Mário Kempes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Torsten Jonsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cosmopolitan FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After having played for 44 minutes, Mário Kempes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cosmopolitan FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mário Kempes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mário Kempes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Perivaldo Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torsten Jonsson in the 51st minute of the match. Perivaldo Azevedo was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Torsten Jonsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Torsten Jonsson really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Anselmo Furlan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Perivaldo Azevedo managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Cosmopolitan FC's Mário Kempes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Perivaldo Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torsten Jonsson in the 63rd minute of play. Mário Kempes did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Perivaldo Azevedo 66 minutes into the match. Cosmopolitan FC made a substitution. Tomas Skoog replaced Svante Kinell. Cosmopolitan FC's Bo Kinell was substituted for Alvin Berg. Osvaldo Ermano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Perivaldo Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvaldo Ermano got free with Perivaldo Azevedo in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Cosmopolitan FC's Torsten Jonsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Perivaldo Azevedo. That made the score 0-7 after 76 minutes of play. In the 87th minute, Osvaldo Ermano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Perivaldo Azevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Santos City's Acácio Cabral quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bo Kinell, made in the 91st minute of the game. If Osvaldo Ermano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 97 minutes, Torsten Jonsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cosmopolitan FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Torsten Jonsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
