But to his dismay, Vindoo De Hond quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. S.C.CHUÍ's Cido Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vindoo De Hond in the 14th minute of play. Cido Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vindoo De Hond in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, S.C.CHUÍ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laerte Barreto to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute of the match Isaltino Mesquita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cido Schmidt showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe do Nascimento got free with Armando Varela in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st match minute, Batalhão do Peçanha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joga Ponta to maneuver through the defense. Cido Schmidt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldinho Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cido Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joga Ponta in the 33rd minute of play. When Pedrão Sampaio fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Batalhão do Peçanha's protests and gave Pedrão Sampaio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of S.C.CHUÍ booed when Batalhão do Peçanha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrão Sampaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cido Schmidt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Gustavo Barreto went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vindoo De Hond to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvaldinho Paes got free with Cido Schmidt in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cido Schmidt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osvaldinho Paes in the 59th minute. Cido Schmidt came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Batalhão do Peçanha's Osvaldinho Paes. But to his dismay, Osvaldinho Paes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After some careless play in the S.C.CHUÍ defense, Vindoo De Hond kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cido Schmidt. The S.C.CHUÍ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cido Schmidt should have stopped the shot. After 66th play minutes Vindoo De Hond shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Cido Schmidt and just under the crossbar into goal. With a little luck, S.C.CHUÍ's Cido Schmidt got control of the ball when Osvaldinho Paes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luís Gustavo Barreto was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 71st minute. Batalhão do Peçanha's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Vindoo De Hond received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Cido Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Osvaldinho Paes could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Cido Schmidt however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of S.C.CHUÍ booed when Batalhão do Peçanha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrão Sampaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cido Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Gustavo Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After 82 played minutes S.C.CHUÍ got a freekick which was hit by Laerte Barreto. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvaldinho Paes got free with Cido Schmidt in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Osvaldinho Paes came free with the goalkeeper in the 86th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cido Schmidt could save by the left post. Cido Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joga Ponta in the 88th minute of play. Cido Schmidt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vindoo De Hond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the match, Vindoo De Hond notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of S.C.CHUÍ's Cido Schmidt. Cido Schmidt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Batalhão do Peçanha's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
