Florin Zăhărescu came out of the goal and Luís Gustavo Barreto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Armando Varela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horea Apăvăloaie's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. After 13 minutes Batalhão do Peçanha's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vasile Vădan who took care of the corner kick. Vasile Vădan made a great header on FC MeHigh's corner, it was just that Batalhão do Peçanha's Armando Varela managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of FC MeHigh booed when Batalhão do Peçanha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joga Ponta didn't get a good kick on the ball. César da Rocha hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 22ndth minute of the game Horea Apăvăloaie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Batalhão do Peçanha's Armando Varela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th minute, Vasile Vădan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Horea Apăvăloaie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Armando Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 minutes, Vindoo De Hond mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Batalhão do Peçanha and the FC MeHigh players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 37 minutes, Horea Apăvăloaie made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Batalhão do Peçanha's Armando Varela tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute, Horea Apăvăloaie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armando Varela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horea Apăvăloaie went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. The FC MeHigh fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when FC MeHigh's Horea Apăvăloaie looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vindoo De Hond got free with Florin Zăhărescu in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vindoo De Hond was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Armando Varela managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when FC MeHigh's Horea Apăvăloaie fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 56 minutes into the match, Batalhão do Peçanha's goal looked a bit too open when Horea Apăvăloaie came free, but Armando Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florin Zăhărescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osvaldinho Paes's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. FC MeHigh were furious when Romeo Bogdănescu was red carded, 60 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC MeHigh! The referee gave Batalhão do Peçanha a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Isaltino Mesquita, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC MeHigh's Florin Zăhărescu. 1-6. After 64 played minutes FC MeHigh got a freekick which was hit by Mihail Doicaru. FC MeHigh's Leontin Iorgovan was substituted for Nabucodonosor von der Schulenburg. The crowd rose to their feet as FC MeHigh's Mihail Doicaru slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Armando Varela. That made the score 1-8 after 80 minutes of play. 83 minutes into the match, Batalhão do Peçanha's goal looked a bit too open when Leontin Iorgovan came free, but Armando Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute Vindoo De Hond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Zăhărescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mihail Doicaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Varela having to interfere. After 89 minutes of play, FC MeHigh's Mihail Doicaru made it 1-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Armando Varela was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leontin Iorgovan in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Varela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leontin Iorgovan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Armando Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mihail Doicaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Batalhão do Peçanha fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC MeHigh were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
