NAPOLI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabiano Monaco to maneuver through the defense. Hugon Derlanga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Carlucci in the 19th minute of the match. In the 24th minute of the match, Borys Maruda tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Emilio Cellucci saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Borys Maruda put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Emilio Cellucci. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Borys Maruda to strike the kick off in the second half. After 59 played minutes Zryw Samsonów got a freekick which was hit by Milosz Podwojski. Frank Carlucci struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Hugon Derlanga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.S.C. NAPOLI. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zygmunt Mentus during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. NAPOLI's Emilio Cellucci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kazimierz Grocholski in the 89th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Borys Maruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Cellucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
