If Henry Aronsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kerdo Reismaa kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. ToonSoldiers FC's Mátyás Papp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henri-Xavier Imbereghs in the 8th minute of play. Diederick Van den Plas was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Henry Aronsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Henry Aronsson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The supporters of ToonSoldiers FC booed when Royal Antwerp F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrad Rauvoe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hector De Deygere hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, ToonSoldiers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wannes Tielemans came free, but Mátyás Papp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Van Eede in the 23rd minute of play forced ToonSoldiers FC's goalkeeper Mátyás Papp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Wannes Tielemans left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Royal Antwerp F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Mátyás Papp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Van Eede in the 31st minute of play. In the 35th match minute, ToonSoldiers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Aronsson to maneuver through the defense. Mátyás Papp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dante Nagels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mátyás Papp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wannes Tielemans, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Van Eede in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mátyás Papp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alessandro Coviello kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Felix Van Eede struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Mátyás Papp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Royal Antwerp F.C.. After 44 played minutes ToonSoldiers FC got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Coviello. Mátyás Papp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Van Eede in the 47th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felix Van Eede to make the kick off. Diederick Van den Plas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henry Aronsson went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Wannes Tielemans received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mátyás Papp came out and tried to block the shot, but Wannes Tielemans slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 60th minute. Alexander Roikjer hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Henri-Xavier Imbereghs took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mátyás Papp. ToonSoldiers FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alessandro Coviello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. ToonSoldiers FC's Sander Isa got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Felix Van Eede took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Mátyás Papp to make any attempt to save it. Wannes Tielemans took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mátyás Papp. Mátyás Papp dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Mátyás Papp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Van Eede in the 79th minute. A hard shot 81 in the game by Felix Van Eede from a close distance when the talented Mátyás Papp managed to make a qualified save. ToonSoldiers FC's players were relieved. Felix Van Eede received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Mátyás Papp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Mátyás Papp managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Royal Antwerp F.C.'s Felix Van Eede fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mátyás Papp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wannes Tielemans, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. If Alessandro Coviello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wannes Tielemans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mátyás Papp having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Royal Antwerp F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ToonSoldiers FC.
