The supporters of Scarlet Speedster booed when Grêmio Bulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edson de Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mané da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Marcel Jacinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcel Jacinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Di Maria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 12 minutes, Abel de Amaral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio Bulls and the Scarlet Speedster players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Grêmio Bulls getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Abel de Amaral hit a great ball. After having played for 13 minutes, John Weeke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scarlet Speedster's supporters crossed their fingers, but John Weeke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacinto Rocha made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Andrézinho Gomes sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Scarlet Speedster's Mané da Costa got a free kick in the 17th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Nóbrega in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacinto Rocha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 21 minutes, Célio Nóbrega mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Scarlet Speedster and the Grêmio Bulls players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Scarlet Speedster getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Célio Nóbrega hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the game, Scarlet Speedster's Enrique Valladares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcel Jacinto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Jacinto Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 played minutes Grêmio Bulls got a freekick which was hit by Silvério Recife. John Weeke took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcel Jacinto. Grêmio Bulls's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Angelo Di Maria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcel Jacinto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Angelo Di Maria took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcel Jacinto. Marcel Jacinto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Marcel Jacinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Di Maria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48th minute there was a penalty for Scarlet Speedster. John Weeke stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marcel Jacinto. 0-5. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cláudio Moraes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Angelo Di Maria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59thth minute of the game John Weeke who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio Bulls's Marcel Jacinto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Scarlet Speedster's Jacinto Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Nóbrega in the 63rd minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Grêmio Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Di Maria came free, but Marcel Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacinto Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edson de Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Scarlet Speedster's goal looked a bit too open when Andrézinho Gomes came free, but Jacinto Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Grêmio Bulls's goalkeeper Marcel Jacinto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelo Di Maria. Enrique Valladares received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcel Jacinto came out and tried to block the shot, but Enrique Valladares slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 84th minute. Emanuel Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Marcel Jacinto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 94 played minutes Grêmio Bulls got a freekick which was hit by Edson de Senna. Marcel Jacinto was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from John Weeke. Scarlet Speedster's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
