Atlético Nacional's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wanderson Valencia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Atlético Nacional's Wilfredo Berriotxoa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Nacional from getting a goal against them. In the 26th minute, Ronaldo Donato fired a really elegant long shot, but Wilfredo Berriotxoa threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Nemesio Damario made in the 29th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Everardo Johans.
