The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Montero got free with Darryl Fawcett in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 6 minutes, Carmine Di Piazza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villadeatese FC and the GG Team FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 6 played minutes Villadeatese FC got a freekick which was hit by Carmine Di Piazza. Corrado Apolloni kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. When Amos Troiani fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GG Team FC's protests and gave Amos Troiani a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Villadeatese FC booed when GG Team FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amos Troiani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flavio Gori didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armando Dorigatti went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armando Dorigatti in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Gori prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 28 minutes into the game, Amerigo Pedroni was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Villadeatese FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GG Team FC the free kick. In the 29th match minute, Villadeatese FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amerigo Pedroni to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Montero hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Domenico Aloisi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Gori having to interfere. Domenico Aloisi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Paulo Montero came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the GG Team FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Montero couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernardo Serantes during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After the first half Villadeatese FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ermanno Carbonaro made the kick off in the second half. Ermanno Arcangeli kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Armando Dorigatti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Flavio Gori made a huge save. In the 60th match minute, GG Team FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermanno Carbonaro to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, GG Team FC's goalkeeper Flavio Gori had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Dorigatti. Paulo Montero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felice Urbani was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 67 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, one of Villadeatese FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Villadeatese FC. Villadeatese FC's Carmine Di Piazza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ermanno Arcangeli in the 72 minute of the game. Ermanno Arcangeli hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Flavio Gori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corrado Apolloni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dario Cammarota kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Villadeatese FC's Alvaro Manzi tried to score from far away in the 86th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Alvaro Manzi came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Villadeatese FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Manzi couldn't finish the play.
