In the 11th minute Jouke Jacobs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Inácio Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Dream Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Vidal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laurens Oosterman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 18 played minutes De Pelgrims got a freekick which was hit by Tonnie Ter. FC Dream Team's Leonel Vaz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save FC Dream Team from getting a goal against them. Jouke Jacobs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonel Vaz having to make a save. Leonel Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jouke Jacobs in the 33rd minute of the match. A collision led to FC Dream Team getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Ahmet İlke Ataner hit a great ball. Emiel Dilling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Leonel Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexandre Carvalhais made a kick off. If Aldaír Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57th play minutes Emiel Dilling shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Leonel Vaz and just under the crossbar into goal. Emiel Dilling blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonel Vaz having to make a save. After having played for 72 minutes, Ferdi van der Schaaf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. De Pelgrims's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferdi van der Schaaf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC Dream Team's goalie and right to Jouke Jacobs. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC Dream Team's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Emiel Dilling took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonel Vaz. Leonel Vaz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. If Emiel Dilling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 minutes of play, De Pelgrims's Jouke Jacobs made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonel Vaz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 85th play minutes Jouke Jacobs shot 6-0, a short shot which went by Leonel Vaz and just under the crossbar into goal. Tonnie Ter took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leonel Vaz. FC Dream Team's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the FC Dream Team defense, Jouke Jacobs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonel Vaz. The FC Dream Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonel Vaz should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, De Pelgrims's Jordi Meijer got a free kick in the 95th minute.
