The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Breguete FC defense, Leopoldo de Almeida kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diamantino Vides. The Breguete FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diamantino Vides should have stopped the shot. Atlético Capixaba's Otto Fesik got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th match minute, Atlético Capixaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabi Joinvilense to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the game, Manfredo de Queirós threw the ball into play from the sideline. Atlético Capixaba's Ikonom Kopchev quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Diamantino Vides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otto Fesik in the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Otto Fesik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diamantino Vides took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Augusto Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Atlético Capixaba's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamim Rezende came free, but Murilo da Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Augusto Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Vides having to interfere. Manfredo de Queirós got a throw-in 23 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Murilo Godoi. Manfredo de Queirós made in the 24th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Murilo Godoi immediately put the ball in play. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atlético Capixaba's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rodrigo Domingues was slow to take the kick. During this time Breguete FC's players had a chance to rest. Rodrigo Domingues made a great header on Breguete FC's corner, it was just that Atlético Capixaba's Murilo da Fonseca managed to reach the ball for a save. Otto Fesik might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diamantino Vides. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Otto Fesik ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 30th minute, Otto Fesik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38thth minute of the game Otto Fesik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Breguete FC's Diamantino Vides was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Murilo Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Atlético Capixaba's Otto Fesik got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodrigo Domingues made a kick off. In the 52nd minute of the game Manfredo de Queirós made a throw-in which Murilo Godoi played forward. Manfredo de Queirós hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Otto Fesik in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diamantino Vides prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 57th minute Benjamim Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murilo da Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atlético Capixaba made a substitution. Cristóvão Varela replaced Nilmar Mota. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Naldo Machado in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diamantino Vides saved Breguete FC from getting behind. In the 68th minute of the match, Carlos Augusto Guimarães tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Diamantino Vides saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Diamantino Vides made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Naldo Machado sent off a good shot on target. Naldo Machado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Diamantino Vides came out and tried to block the shot, but Naldo Machado slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 72nd minute. In the 78th minute Murilo Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murilo da Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute, Murilo Godoi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Breguete FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. 83 minutes into the game, Manfredo de Queirós threw the ball into play from the sideline. Atlético Capixaba's Ikonom Kopchev quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 84th minute, Manfredo de Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Naldo Machado kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Diamantino Vides. That made the score 1-4 in the 85 minute of play. After 89 minutes of play, Atlético Capixaba's Naldo Machado made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diamantino Vides was left in no man's land by his defense there! 92 minutes into the match, Naldo Machado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Diamantino Vides, 1-6. Manfredo de Queirós made in the 95th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Murilo Godoi. The Breguete FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Atlético Capixaba's performance. The match ended with a win for Atlético Capixaba.
