Nykvarn's Gunnar Brodin got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Petrică Arghirescu came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Nykvarn's John Daly. But to his dismay, John Daly quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ionuț Stolnicu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michel Kinell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. When Kaká Fenomeno came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Nykvarn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaká Fenomeno couldn't finish the play. Petrică Arghirescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Daly, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, John Daly managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nykvarn's supporters rose to their feet, but John Daly was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petrică Arghirescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Nykvarn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Ionuț Stolnicu struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Michel Kinell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Barcelona. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kaká Fenomeno was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, AFC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Kaká Fenomeno came free, but Petrică Arghirescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 52 minutes, Silviu Buzoianu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFC Barcelona and the Nykvarn players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Nykvarn booed when AFC Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silviu Buzoianu didn't get a good kick on the ball. AFC Barcelona's Petrică Arghirescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save AFC Barcelona from getting a goal against them. Kaká Fenomeno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Petrică Arghirescu having to make a save. In the 64th minute, John Daly reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Petrică Arghirescu. The goal made the score 0-4. Kaká Fenomeno received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Petrică Arghirescu came out and tried to block the shot, but Kaká Fenomeno slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute, Kaká Fenomeno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John Daly could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Petrică Arghirescu made a huge save. Nykvarn's Michel Kinell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionuț Stolnicu in the 78th minute of play. AFC Barcelona's Petrică Arghirescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save AFC Barcelona from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute Nykvarn were awarded a corner. Gunnar Brodin went to the cornerflag to take it. After 86 played minutes AFC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Ionuț Stolnicu. Kaká Fenomeno received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Petrică Arghirescu came out and tried to block the shot, but Kaká Fenomeno slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 87th minute. After some careless play in the AFC Barcelona defense, Kaká Fenomeno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Petrică Arghirescu. The AFC Barcelona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Petrică Arghirescu should have stopped the shot.
