Rodrigo Barrera charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Oliver Baß kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Alemannia Aachen defense, Rodrigo Barrera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pekko Badla. The Alemannia Aachen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pekko Badla should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute, Remigio Jungejohan fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 39 minutes into the match, Remigio Jungejohan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pekko Badla, 6-0. With a little luck, Alemannia Aachen's Pekko Badla got control of the ball when Remigio Jungejohan tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Timo Bezka made a kick off. A nice corner shot did that Theo Nadolski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Clemente Savier quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Alemannia Aachen's Nelson Strasser got a free kick in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the match, ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s Remigio Jungejohan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pekko Badla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 58th match minute, Alemannia Aachen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Baß to maneuver through the defense. Marcelo Salas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 65 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Salas came free, but Pekko Badla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelo Salas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pekko Badla having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelo Salas in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pekko Badla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcelo Salas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pekko Badla having to interfere. Marcelo Salas might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pekko Badla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelo Salas ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelo Salas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pekko Badla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmyr Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 86th minute, Walmyr Alcântara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Resulhan İsmihan struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Pekko Badla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣. In the 92nd minute, Marcelo Salas made a precise shot to the right of Pekko Badla. Alemannia Aachen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match.
