Invictus FC's Sammy Candries played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Caradaro in the 15th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Eustaquio Jaizki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sammy Candries was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. In the 29th minute Lázaro Cuartio suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Johny Godefroid's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Atlanta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johny Godefroid helped the player get up and apologised. Benigno Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 minutes, Johny Godefroid made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Johny Godefroid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Invictus FC's Sammy Candries played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benigno Abreu in the 46th minute of play.

Pedro Rojelio lost his temper 52 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 53 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Rojelio. Gert Sterckx might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Germano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gert Sterckx ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johny Godefroid in the 57th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Carlos Germano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Invictus FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Gürel Toktimur hit a great ball. Paulino Frechoso kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Gert Sterckx came free, but Carlos Germano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute Johny Godefroid shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Germano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Paolo Caradaro notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Invictus FC's Sammy Candries. Sammy Candries was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 81st minute, Benigno Abreu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sammy Candries was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 90thth minute of the game Johny Godefroid who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlos Germano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lennart De Keyser, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Club Atlético Atlanta played a much better game than Invictus FC and deserved their victory. The Invictus FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
