Cacá Paulista charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cacá Paulista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, IGUIPORÃ FC's Cacá Paulista got a free kick in the 3rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antônio Carlos Soares during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mete y Raspa FC booed when IGUIPORÃ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Carlos Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Mete y Raspa FC's goalkeeper Bert Pöggeler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Ortiz. Mete y Raspa FC's Bert Pöggeler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Mete y Raspa FC from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the match, Mete y Raspa FC's Lalla Paiz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Paes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Zézinho Marinho fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IGUIPORÃ FC's protests and gave Zézinho Marinho a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 played minutes Mete y Raspa FC got a freekick which was hit by Truylos Rebolledo. When Xaven Cachorro fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mete y Raspa FC's protests and gave Xaven Cachorro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th minute, Xaven Cachorro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bert Pöggeler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Ortiz in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute, Cacá Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute, Tristan Neyda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mete y Raspa FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Atarratze Maeztu's late challenge caught a IGUIPORÃ FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Atarratze Maeztu helped the player get up and apologised. Atarratze Maeztu hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. When Atarratze Maeztu came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Mete y Raspa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atarratze Maeztu couldn't finish the play. After 46 minutes of play, Mete y Raspa FC's Tristan Neyda made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredo Paes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Zé Ortiz made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 56 minutes, Joselito Negro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mete y Raspa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joselito Negro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfredo Paes made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Tristan Neyda sent off a good shot on target. Alfredo Paes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fritz Busk in the 59th minute of play. After a rather tough play, IGUIPORÃ FC's Zézinho Marinho got a free kick in the 60th minute. Lalla Paiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Paes having to interfere. IGUIPORÃ FC made a substitution. Kaká Sergipano replaced Antônio Carlos Soares. IGUIPORÃ FC's Dedé Vianna was substituted for Reynaldo Valle. 68 minutes into the match, Mete y Raspa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eugênio Favoretto came free, but Bert Pöggeler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Fritz Busk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo Paes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. Alfredo Paes came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Mete y Raspa FC's Fritz Busk. But to his dismay, Fritz Busk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-6. The crowd rose to their feet as Mete y Raspa FC's Lalla Paiz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alfredo Paes. That made the score 2-7 after 82 minutes of play. If Atarratze Maeztu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tristan Neyda got free with Alfredo Paes in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alfredo Paes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atarratze Maeztu in the 93rd minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Mete y Raspa FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than IGUIPORÃ FC.
