After 2 played minutes Barr Point got a freekick which was hit by Felix Mitchell-King. Billy Metcalf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Souza in the 5th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Phil Panther was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barr Point's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EDI MZB the free kick. Barr Point's Billy Metcalf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio Passos in the 8th minute of play. Yuri Lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zak Walls in the 10th minute of the match. Phil Panther received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Yuri Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Billy Metcalf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caco Mota in the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zak Walls in the 21st minute of play forced EDI MZB's goalkeeper Yuri Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caco Mota charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Caco Mota the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Barr Point booed when EDI MZB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caco Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bruce Gates kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Billy Metcalf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubinho Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Barr Point's goal looked a bit too open when Caco Mota came free, but Billy Metcalf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caco Mota took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Billy Metcalf. Billy Metcalf dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Billy Metcalf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caco Mota in the 41st minute of play. If Gustavo Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zak Walls was the one to do the kick off. Caco Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Metcalf having to interfere. In the 55th minute Phil Panther shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th match minute, EDI MZB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Souza to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd match minute, Barr Point was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rory Weatherhead to maneuver through the defense. William Jordan hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Hortêncio Passos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Billy Metcalf skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Barr Point's attentive Sammy Faulkner managed to snatch the ball when Evandro Maia made a throw-in in the 77th minute of the game. Billy Metcalf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Souza in the 80th minute of the match. Phil Panther sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yuri Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rory Weatherhead, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Barr Point defense, Caco Mota kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Billy Metcalf. The Barr Point fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Billy Metcalf should have stopped the shot.
