An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernabe Galtero in the 18th minute of play forced JEC - FC's goalkeeper Solustiano Partarroyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Douglas Meira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Palmquist having to interfere.

The wind increased when Lucio Serapio made the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute, Douglas Meira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Granate's Jonathan Palmquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Meira in the 64th minute of play. Granate's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lucio Serapio in the 71st minute. Granate's Lucio Serapio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Solustiano Partarroyo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
