Ildefonso Bonifaco made in the 21st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Emerald's Damian Furlit. 21 minutes into the game, Ildefonso Bonifaco threw the ball into play from the sideline. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Victor Piţurcă took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Carman Jobson to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Vermeşan in the 32nd minute of play forced ORION F.C.'s goalkeeper Carman Jobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Emerald's goal looked a bit too open when Franklin Agurto came free, but Bogdan Lobonț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrea Tullio during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Emerald booed when ORION F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrea Tullio didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Franklin Agurto was the one to do the kick off. Enrique De Diego got a throw-in 54 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ildefonso Bonifaco. 55 minutes into the game, Enrique De Diego threw the ball into play from the sideline. Emerald's Damian Furlit quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 58 minutes into the match, ORION F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Victor Piţurcă came free, but Carman Jobson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carman Jobson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Piţurcă's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute Victor Piţurcă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carman Jobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Franklin Agurto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Bogdan Lobonț was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 70 minutes in the game Enrique De Diego did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ildefonso Bonifaco. 71 minutes into the match, ORION F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Vermeşan came free, but Carman Jobson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel Vermeşan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Carman Jobson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carman Jobson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emerald's Damian Furlit quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Enrique De Diego, made in the 82nd minute of the game. In the 83rd minute, Franklin Agurto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carman Jobson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Piţurcă, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Piţurcă in the 87th minute of play forced ORION F.C.'s goalkeeper Carman Jobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the ORION F.C. defense, Victor Piţurcă kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carman Jobson. The ORION F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carman Jobson should have stopped the shot. Carman Jobson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Piţurcă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Piţurcă in the 96th minute of play forced ORION F.C.'s goalkeeper Carman Jobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Emerald players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
